We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector for 1st shift. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting received material, work-in-progress and finished products to ensure conformance with work order specifications, diagrammatic and template specifications as outlined below:
Inspects and determines compliance with raw materials and in-process components to predetermined company specifications at receiving station; inspects first article to ensure conformance to work order requirements using 1:1 drawings, calipers and other measuring devices; measures centerlines and reference points to verify initial layout and machine setup.
Performs in-process and final quality inspection of finished products in accordance with established procedures.
Completes inspection records and checklists and documents all instances of rejected product or material problems in a daily production report. Documents appropriate information for quality inspection for each order; reports nonconformance of products and processes, and reports any unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to supervisor or manager.
Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines.
Helps train new employees as required.
Other related duties as assigned or required.
Associates Degree; and at least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Basic Quality principles
Experience with calipers, rulers, micrometers, loups, reading prints
Experience with GD&T & Vision Systems would be ideal
